Having to study Mandarin/Chinese as part of my education in both primary and high school in Singapore, I can totally understand the difficulties for anyone to pick up the language.
Even though I’m Chinese, we hardly spoke Mandarin at home. Our conversations were mostly in English and Cantonese.
So, ShaoLan’s way of teaching Mandarin definitely makes the learning pains a little easier to bear.
This might inspire me to improve on my Mandarin language skills.
